Former Judge Christopher J. Geer has been a life long resident of central Ohio. He was a practicing attorney for nearly twenty-nine years in central Ohio before becoming a Judge. He has had the honor of serving the citizens of Franklin County as a Judge in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, Division of Domestic Relations/ Juvenile Branch for six years.
Chris Geer graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. He received his law degree from Capital University and was admitted to the Bar of Ohio in 1978.
In the community, Chris Geer has served on the City of Columbus Development Commission and was his Chairman for two years. He is a member of the Columbus Ohio and American Bar Associations. He has served as the Board Chairman of the Franklin County Criminal Justice Planning Board, the Community Corrections Planning Board, he currently serves on the Safe Haven Committee for Buckeye Ranch Visitation and Exchange Center, He was a member of the Board of Directors of Alvis, Inc., dba Alvis House for six years.
Chris Geer is admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the Ohio Supreme Court, as well as all other lower Ohio Courts. Chris Geer has lectured extensively over the years to lawyers and non-professionals alike on divorce, juvenile, and other litigation issues.
Chris Geer has extensive litigation experience having handled many cases involving large marital estates as well as relatively small property cases. As parent, grandparent, and a former foster parent, he is extremely interested in litigating the best interests of children of divorce.

Having “retired” from Isaac Wiles, he is now a solo practitioner as GEER LAW, LLC, concentrating on serving as a Mediator, Guardian ad Litem, divorce cases, custody matters, and estate administration.
